Problem: We have no way to track inventory genealogy. When material is damaged or found with other quality issues, we’re struggling to find what inventory was used and from which supplier. We are also having a similar issue with our WIP inventory and finished products – we’d like to know which machine produced product and when, but there is no easy way to find out.
Solution: Does a roll have edge damage or other quality issues that you need to trace back to the parent roll? Track down your inventory with the MRP’s Inventory module. In the Inventory History screen, you can easily track your raw and produced material’s genealogy. You can also find genealogy in the Reporting Dashboard with the Genealogy report, searching by work order or serial number.
